This Technology Transfer Advances Swaziland's Nationally Determined Contribution to strengthen the country's technology capacity building and skills training and to "participate in research, pilot projects and planning and implementation actions".
Context
Though Swaziland is experiencing the impacts of climate change, its civil society has a relatively low awareness of climate change issues. Moreover, climate change is not currently being adequately entrenched into NGO activities. Education, training and public awareness are critical to effectively engage civil society in climate change adaptation and mitigation work.
본 기술이전은 국가 기술 역량 강화 및 기술 교육을 강화하고 “연구, 파일럿 프로젝트, 계획 및 실행 조치에 참여”하기 위한 국가자발적기여(Nationally Determined Contribution; NDC)이다.
배경
스와질란드는 기후변화의 영향을 겪고 있음에도, 기후변화 문제에 대한 시민의식이 상대적으로 낮다. 또한, 기후변화 문제가 비정부 기구(NGO) 활동에서 제대로 다뤄지고 있지 않다. 시민사회가 효과적으로 기후변화 적응 및 완화 활동에 참여하려면 교육, 수련, 대중의 인식이 굉장히 중요하다.
