미얀마의 기후변화, 가뭄, 홍수 관리 데이터 촉진
This Technology Transfer Advances Myanmar's Nationally Determined Contribution to reduce climate change vulnerability and reduce poverty in rural areas and for subsistence farmers as a priority, and to continue the work of developing flood and drought early warning systems for reducing the vulnerability of local communities to extreme weather events.
본 기술이전은 미얀마의국가자발적기여(Nationally Determined Contribution; NDC)을 증진시켜 기후변화에 대한 취약성을 경감하고 지방지역에서의 빈곤을 감축시켜 자급자족 농부를 보조하고자 한다. 또한 부수적으로 호수 및 가뭄 조기경보시스템의 개발을 계속해 지역 사회의 기상이변에 대한 취약성을 경감하고자 한다.
Context
Myanmar’s National Adaptation Program of Action (NAPA) states there is an urgent need for Myanmar’s communities and economic sectors to adapt to climate change and variability (UNEP, 2012). The agricultural and water sectors are some of the main areas in need of adaptation technology and approaches to deal with the impacts of climate change. The CTCN assistance is requested for improved information in relation to the development of climate resilient solutions for the key sectors in Myanmar: improved and additional data and information, and how it can be applied in relation to climate change, drought and flood assessments in Myanmar.
배경
미얀마의 국가 적응 조치 프로그램(National Adaptation Program Action: NAPA)에 따르면 미얀마의 지역사회의 경제부문은 기후변화 및 변동성에 시급하게 적응할 필요가 있다 (UNEP, 2012). 농업부문 및 수자원부문은 기후변화의 영향에 대처하기 위한 기술과 접근법이 필요한 주요 영역이다. 미얀마의 주요 부문에 대한 기후탄력성 해결책의 개발과 관련하여 정보를 수집하기 위해 CTCN의 보조가 필요하다. 추가적 데이터 및 정보와 개선된 데이터 및 정보, 또한 미얀마에서의 관련 기후변화, 가뭄, 홍수 관련 정보의 활용이 필요하다.
