제목 [GCF] Strengthening climate resilience of rural communities in Northern Rwanda (SCRNRP) [

GCF] 르완다 북부 농촌 공동체의 기후 회복력 강화 프로젝트(Strengthening climate resilience of rural communities in Northern Rwanda; SCRNRP) 

Increasing the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change in Northern Rwanda by targeting a range of integrated adaptation interventions. The high number of poor people engaged in subsistence agriculture makes Rwanda particularly susceptible to climate change. This is especially the case for people who have less resources to adapt, including those who farm on marginal land who are highly vulnerable to landslides, flooding and droughts.
This project will focus on increasing the climate resilience of vulnerable communities in nine sectors of Rwanda's Gicumbi District. It will restore and enhance ecosystems in degraded watersheds and increase the capacity of  communities to sustainably manage forest resources. It will follow an integrated landscape management model. The project has an estimated lifespan of 6 years.

통합 기후변화 적응 개발 범위를 설정함으로써 르완다 북부에서 기후변화에 취약한 공동체의 회복력을 제고하고자 하는 프로젝트이다. 르완다에는 소작농에 종사하는 빈곤층이 많아서 특히 기후변화에 취약하다. 그리고 이는 산사태, 홍수, 가뭄에 매우 취약한 외곽 지역에서 농사를 하는 이들을 포함해 기후변화에 적응할 수 있는 자원에 접근하기 어려운 이들에게 특히 그렇다. 본 프로젝트에서는 르완다 기컴비 구역(Gicumbi District) 내 9개 부문에 대해 취약 공동체의 기후 회복력을 제고하는 것을 중심으로 한다.

이는 퇴화한 강 유역의 생태계를 회복 및 개선하고, 삼림 자원을 지속적으로 관리하는 공동체 역량을 증진시켜 조경관리 통합모델을 이끌어낼 것이다. 해당 프로젝트 기간은 6년으로 예정되어 있다.
