[GCF] 아프리카 수문기상 프로그램, 사하라 사막 이남 아프리카의 기후 회복력 강화를 위한 부르키나 파소(서아프리카 국가) 지역 프로젝트
Strengthening the climate resilience of Burkina Faso by enhancing and optimizing the supply and demand side of climate information systems.
One of the least developed countries in Africa, Burkina Faso is highly vulnerable to weather related hazards, especially floods and droughts. The country is already experiencing the effects of a changing climate and a growing trend of economic and livelihood losses due to weather-related disasters.
This project will address this problem by focusing primarily on strengthening the significantly underdeveloped climate information sector of the country. This is expected to provide positive results for the livelihoods of rural communities, along with increased food security and a reduction in their vulnerability to weather-related hazards.
The project has an estimated lifespan of 5 years.
기후 정보 시스템의 공급과 수요를 증진 및 최석화시킴으로써 부르키나 파소의 기후탄력성을 제고자 한다.
아프리카에서 가장 저개발 된 나라 중 한 곳인 부르키나 파소는 특히 홍수나 가뭄과 같은 날씨와 관련된 재해들에 매우 취약한 국가이다. 이미 기후변화의 영향을 받고 있으며, 날씨 관련 재해들로 인한 경제 및 생계 손실이 점점 더 증가하는 것을 볼 수 있다.
이 프로젝트를 통해 본국의 상당히 뒤처진 기후 정보 분야의 강화에 중점을 둠으로써 이 문제를 해결할 예정이다. 이는 식량 안보 증진, 날씨 관련 재해에 대한 취약성 완화와 함께 농촌 지역 사회의 생계에 관하여 긍정적인 결과를 가져올 것으로 예상된다.
