네팔의 바이오매스 연탄의 지속가능 사용 촉진을 위한 정책적 프레임워크 및 사업모델 개발
This Technology Transfer Advances Nepal's Nationally Determined Contribution to "maintain 40% of the total area of the country under forest cover and increase forest productivity and products through sustainable management of forests", and to contribute to the global efforts of reducing GHGs emissions and helping life and life-support systems to adapt and build resilience to climate change impacts.
본 기술이전은 네팔의 국가자발적기여(Nationally Determined Contribution; NDC)를 증진시켜 "국가면적의 40%가 삼림으로 유지될 수 있도록 하고 삼림 생산 및 상품을 삼림의 지속가능 관리를 통해 증진"하고자 한다. 뿐만 아니라 GHG 배출과 관련된 전세계적 노력에 기여하고 생명 및 생명지원 시스템을 도와 기후변화의 영향에 대해 적응하고 회복력을 제고하고자 한다.
Context
Nepal is not endowed with cleaner cooking fuel resources like natural gas. Neither the current electricity generation from cleaner hydropower resources is adequate to meet the energy demands through electricity. Nepal is heavily dependent on biomass to meet its energy needs. More than four million people, primarily from the low income group, are directly dependent upon biomass either for cooking or heating purposes.
배경
네팔은 천연가스와 같은 청정 조리 연료를 갖추고 있지 않다. 또한 현재 청정 수력발전 자원으로부터의 전력 생성 역시 전기를 통한 에너지 수급에 부적합하다. 네팔은 에너지 수급에 있어서 바이오매스에 고도로 의존하고 있다. 주로 저소득층인 400명만 명을 상회하는 네팔 국민은 조리나 난방에 있어 바이오매스에 고도로 의존하고 있다.
