This Technology Transfer Advances Peru's Nationally Determined Contribution to encourage and promote actions that increases the availability of water and resiliency of forests, and reduces the negative impact of climate change on agrarian activities and fishing sector.
본 기술이전은 페루의 국가자발적기여(Nationally Determined Contribution; NDC)를 증진시켜 수자원가용성 및 산림회복력을 제고하고, 기후변화의 농업활동 및 어업부문에 대한 부정적 영향을 감축하고자 하였다.
Context
For a developing country like Peru, climate change is a threat to the socio-economic development and prosperity of its people. This immediately threatens the necessary and ongoing efforts to reduce poverty, the agricultural productivity, water resources and biodiversity among other sectors. Peru’s Protected Natural Areas (ANP) are the cornerstone of the strategy for conservation of biodiversity in Peru as they include unique and often fragile ecosystems that play a central role in achieving sustainable development.
배경
페루와 같은 개발도상국의 경우 기후변화는 사회경제적 개발과 국민의 부에 있어서 큰 난관을 제시하고 있다. 그렇기 때문에 빈곤 타개, 농업생산성 증대, 수자원 및 생물다양성 제고와 관련된 노력이 위협받고 있다. 페루의 자연보호구역(Protected Natural Areas: ANP)는 지속가능한 개발 목표 달성에 이써서 중추적인 역할을 하는 고유하고도 유악한 생태계를 포함하고 있기 떄문에 페루의 생물다양성 보존에 있어서 중요한 부분이다.
