UN Climate Change News, 3 June 2020 - In response to requests by Parties, and to facilitate Parties’ efforts to provide their adaptation communications as soon as possible as requested in paragraph 12 of decision 1/CMA.2, the secretariat has set up a provisional webpage to capture information on the adaptation communications submitted to date by Parties. Under the Paris Agreement, Parties should submit and regularly update an adaptation communication. The adaptation communication can be submitted independently or together with other communications and/or documents, and will be recorded in a public registry. Parties are currently working on the design of that public registry, with a view to adopting it at the third session of the CMA. Once available, that public registry will replace this provisional webpage. |
