This Technology Transfer Advances Antigua and Barbuda's Nationally Determined Contribution to "enhance the established enabling legal, policy and institutional environment for a low carbon emission development pathway to achieve poverty reduction and sustainable development".
본 기술이전은 안티과와 바브다 섬의 국가자발적기여(Nationally Determined Contribution; NDC)를 증진해 빈곤 퇴치 및 지속가능 개발을 달성하고자하는 목적으로 법적, 정책적, 제도적 환경을 조성해 저탄소 달성 개발을 이루고자 한다.
Context
Antigua and Barbuda currently generates nearly all of its electricity from imported fossil fuels, resulting in high costs and greenhouse gas emissions. The government of Antigua and Barbuda is addressing these challenges through several goals and policies. The 2010 National Energy Policy contains goals to reduce energy costs, diversify from fossil fuels, and develop new technologies and sectors. The 2013 Sustainable Energy Action plan builds off of the 2010 policy by providing a comprehensive roadmap for renewable energy and energy efficiency policy development, with recommendations for the creation of certain government institutions, policies, and proposed budgets.
배경
안티과와 바브다 섬은 현재 거의 모든 전력을 수입 화석연료로 생산하여 높은 비용 및 온실가스 문제에 직면하고 있다. 안티과 및 바브다 정부는 다수의 목표 및 정책을 통해 해당 난관을 타개하고자 한다. 2010년도 국가에너지 정책은 에너지 비용 절감, 탈석탄연료, 신규 기술 및 부문 개발 계획을 포괄하고 있다. 2013 지속가능에너지행동계획은 재생에너지 및 에너지 효율 정책 개발에 대한 포괄적 로드맵을 구축해서 2010 정책을 확장시키며, 특정 정부 제도, 정책, 예산 수립을 제안한다.
