Information event on the synthesis reports prepared by adaptation-related constituted bodies for the first global stocktake under the Paris Agreement MANDATED AND OTHER EVENTS 12:30 to 13:30 CEST Context At COP26 in Glasgow, the first global stocktake (GST) was launched with the goal of assessing the collective progress towards achieving the purpose and long-term goals of the Paris Agreement, as well as enhancing the collective ambition of climate action and support. The outcome of the GST in 2023 will inform Parties when updating and upscaling their actions and support, as well as in enhancing international cooperation on climate change. A webinar (link here) on the relevant synthesis reports for the technical assessment component of the GST prepared by the secretariat was conducted on 12 May 2022. Following the encouragement of the Chairs of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation to those preparing inputs for GST1 to organize such webinars, as appropriate (see non-paper of 15 September 2021), the Adaptation Committee (AC), the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG), the Executive Committee of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage associated with Climate Change Impacts (ExCom), and the Facilitative Working Group (FWG) of the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform (LCIPP) are hosting this joint information event. Their respective synthesis reports prepared for the technical assessment component of the GST are available here: Synthesis report prepared by the Adaptation Committee Synthesis report prepared by the Least Developed Countries Expert Group Agenda:
